How to Find and Copy a Facebook Post URL

On Desktop

  1. Log in to your Facebook account at facebook.com.
  2. Locate the post you want to share.
  3. Click on the date or time stamp of the post (e.g., "2 hrs", "Yesterday", or a date). This will open the post in a new page or popup.
  4. In the browser’s address bar, you will see the post URL starting with https://www.facebook.com/.
  5. Click the address bar to highlight the entire URL.
  6. Right-click the highlighted URL and select Copy, or press Ctrl + C (Windows) or Cmd + C (Mac).

On the Facebook Mobile App

  1. Open the Facebook app and log in if needed.
  2. Find the post you want to share.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu (•••) at the top right corner of the post.
  4. Tap Copy Link from the menu options. This copies the post URL to your clipboard.
  5. To paste the link, tap and hold in any text field and select Paste.
